(Image: LASER COMPONENTS)

The new ADL-83Y51TL offers a high performance and low cost solution for any application requiring high power NIR radiation with a longitudinal single mode beam profile. Key application areas would be those using camera-supported gesture controls as well medical engineering, printing and security (IR lighting).

In CW (continuous wave) mode, the ADL-83Y51TL will emit 250 mW of output power at 830 nm. Operating in pulsed operation, these devices can be readily overdriven to produce up to 500 mW. The compact TO-56 housing is hermetically sealed and permits operational temperatures of up to 60°C. Furthermore, the ADL-83Y51TL is provided with an integrated monitor photodiode for feed-back power control and stabilisation.
