Explore the Most Updated Micro LED Trend in Micro LEDforum 2018

Micro LED, which is considered the next generation technology, has advantages of high brightness, reliability, short response time and wide viewing angle. The technology development of Micro LED and its applications have been attracting attentions from researchers and professionals worldwide. According to LEDinside, the market value of Micro LED will reach US$2.891 billion by 2025.

However, the technology development of Micro LED has been confronted with major difficulties on mass transfer technology, epitaxial wafer/chip, full color display, driver IC, backplane and inspection/repair technology. This year in Micro LEDforum, LEDinside invited experts from the industry to discuss solutions focusing on the current obstacles of Micro LED.

For mass transfer process, eLux will introduce its fluidic assembly technology and then Uniqarta will illustrate laser enabled advanced placement (LEAP) method. In addition, QMAT is going to show how the interaction between their key areas spanning materials, testing methods and the designed transfer process achieve high-yield mass production. Also KIMM will present its roll-to -plate transfer technology being applied in mini-LED signage and stretchable micro-LED display with increased productivity.

Japanese UV-LED manufacturer, Nitride Semiconductors and V-technology will reveal the result they worked together, using Ultraviolet LED and RGB color conversion technology to simplify the control circuit and the transfer process. Topcon, focusing on testing, will introduce its inspection tool to test luminance, chromaticity uniformity and Mura for Micro LED. KLA-Tencor, on the other hand, is going to display its technology for inspecting the defects on the surface via the reflection of optical phase. Then SelfArray will disclose its Diamagnetic Directed Self- Assembly (DSA) technology to align electronic components in a massively parallel way.

For end market application, Macroblock will share the technology of Micro LED display driver product which helps the LED display to meet HDR10 standard. And Jasper Display will investigate the market potential of implementing Micro LED technology in non-display application.

In Micro LEDforum 2018, titled“Key Technology and Application Market – Transfer, Inspection and Drive Solution Boost,” LEDinside and attendees will explore the market trend and the solutions to tackle technology difficulties of Micro LED.

The event will take place on July 12th 2018 at NTUH International Convention Center. Experts worldwide will join to holistically discuss Micro LED from the manufacturing process to end-market application. LEDinside is looking forward to welcoming professionals of the industry. Do not miss the last chance of early bird rate and register now!
