Epistar Announces Revenue Growth with Sales of LED Backlight and Fine Pitch Products

With the orders of backlight products and fine pitch displays, Epistar has reached the highest monthly revenue of NT$ 1.93 billion (US$ 62.38 million) of the year in September with an increase of 1.36% MoM and a decrease of 22% YoY.

Despite the revenue boost in September, Epistar has noted that due to the U.S.-China trade war, its clients have reduced the scale of orders. According to Epistar, the first section of tariffs did not affect the company as the place of production can be flexibly adjusted with its capacities in different areas. Facing the uncertainty of the market, Epistar said that it will strategically modify its production according to the demands of its clients.

Epistar has begun to mass produce Mini LED since September. With the launch of Mini LED backlight panels in the second half of 2018, Epistar expects its collaboration with various panel producers on developing Mini LED products will bring profits for 2019.
