Products Releases: Environmental Lights Launches RGB LED Light Bar and Tridonic Introduces New LED Driver

US-based Environmental Lights announced its new RGB 160 Degree LED Light Bar for shallow backlighting applications. Each RGB 160 Degree LED Light Bar is equipped with six high power RGB LEDs for bright and consistent illumination. The light bars utilize an optical lens over each LED to ensure even distribution of light with a wide beam angle of 160 degrees. The wide beam angle of the RGB 160 Degree LED Light Bars enables users to illuminate shallow light boxes and reduce hotspots using fewer light bars.

Featured with wide beam angle, easy installation and control, the new light bar can match the requirement of various backlight application. CEO Jamison Day said, “Our scenic customers asked us to develop a product that would enable them to better leverage RGB in backlighting applications. We are very excited to launch RGB LED Light Bars to meet their needs.”

Meanwhile, Austrian lighting solution provider Tridonic released new LED drivers that help luminaire designers to create versatile luminaire designs with a height of 11 or 16 mm. In addition to the usual wide dimming range and one4all interface there are versions with an NFC interface. The 16 mm versions also have an integrated DALI power supply (po4a).

The new PRE drivers pack updated technology and all the functions of the premium portfolio into the smallest of spaces. The reduced low-profile housings have the same length and width as before (360 mm x 30 mm) but are now only 11 or 16 mm high instead of 21 mm. They offer virtually flicker-free dimming (<5%) of the connected luminaires from 100 to 1 percent and are equipped with smart interfaces such as NFC (Near Field Communication) and integrated po4a DALI power supply. The combination of NFC and the companionSUITE software package enables the drivers to be quickly and wirelessly programmed during the production process at luminaire manufacturers. Complete packaging units of up to 10 items can be wirelessly configured in a single pass via an antenna. The po4a interface (extended one4all Interface) supplies sensors with power and thus simplifies implementation of sensor-controlled lighting solutions.
