Heliospectra Supplies Greenhouse Grow Lights Installation in the U.S.

Sweden-based horticulture lighting technology provider Heliospectra announced a new order from Turner Construction in Miami, Florida. The systems integrator and supplier will install the controllable spectra ELIXIA LED lights for several upcoming greenhouse facilities.

Turner Construction is leading the design, construction, and installation services for the commercial-scale greenhouse projects across the United States in 2020. The Heliospectra ELIXIA 600W LED light will benefit the greenhouse projects by improving crop quality and performance in a wide variety of growing environments. The fully adjustable spectrum lighting and control solution enables growers to supplement natural daylight in a greenhouse.

Meanwhile, the company published its financial report of the first quarter of 2020. Net sales of 1Q20 increased 57% YoY at SEK 15.2 million (US$ 1.5 million) and the operation loss was SEK 9.058 million (US$ 896.9 thousand).

Ali Ahmadian, CEO of Heliospectra, noted that the company has not lost any opportunity due to the coronavirus pandemic but some projects of its clients are facing delay in initiation due to travel restrictions across the globe. In order to take action to mitigate short-term impact, Heliospectra is working to secure governmental grants and support in the markets and strengthening forward-looking focus and actions to ensure strengthen its connection with customers.
