Xiaomi's second mini LED TV is bigger and better but more affordable at the same time.

Yesterday at the Xiaomi 13 Ultra launch event in China, the company also announced several other products. One of them is the brand’s second mini LED TV, which officially goes by Xiaomi TV Master 86-inch Mini LED TV.

For the unaware, the Xiaomi Master series is the company’s premium television lineup. It consists of models featuring OLED, mini LED, and transparent OLED panels.

The first Mini LED TV from the brand called Mi TV Master 82-inch mini LED TV was released in 2020. As the name suggests, it has a smaller screen than the newer model, however, it offers an 8K resolution and 5G connectivity.

Comes with 2000 nits brightness, 144Hz refresh rate, and 70W speakers

The latest 86-inch model is limited to 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution but supports up to a 144Hz refresh rate. The 10-bit quantum dot mini LED display can reach a maximum brightness level of 2000 nits, which is the same as the older model.

The panel not only supports Dolby Vision IQ but also IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode, and AMD FreeSyc Premium Pro. The TV also offers 70W sound output through its 3.1 speaker system which supports Dolby Atmos and DTS: X.

Under the hood, the television houses an unnamed chipset featuring a quad-core ARM Cortex-A73 CPU. This chip is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. On the software front, it boots MUI TV with support for all the leading streaming platforms in China, Xiaomi Mijia smart home ecosystem, and more.

The connectivity options on the television include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, 3 x HDMI (eARC, VRR), 2 x USB, 1 x AV, 1 x DTMB, 1 x optical fiber, and an Ethernet. Finally, it ships a voice control-enabled remote control with NFC.

Xiaomi TV Master 86-inch Mini LED TV is priced at ¥15,999 (~$2,320). However, it will be sold at a discounted price of ¥14,999 (~$2,175) for a limited time from April 21. The television is way more affordable than the 8K model which currently costs ¥29,999 (~$4,350) and was introduced at ¥49,999 (~$7,250).
