IKEA has unveiled JETSTRÖM, a smart LED ceiling light panel, now available in some EU countries. The product comes in two sizes: 60 x 60 cm (~23.6 x 23.6-in) and 100 x 40 cm (~39.4x 15.7-in). You can adjust the color temperature of white light between the more red 2,200K, through 2,700K warm white to a 4,000K cold white. The LED panel is also dimmable, allowing you to adapt the lighting to suit your mood.
You can control the JETSTRÖM with the STYRBAR remote, which costs around €9.99 and can control up to ten units simultaneously. Alternatively, if you use the DIRIGERA hub, you can control the smart light on your phone using the IKEA Home smart app, which was recently updated to add this new product. This also lets you control the LED panel with a voice assistant like Alexa or through other smart home ecosystems, including Apple Home and Google Home. The product has an expected lifetime of around 25,000 hours and can be attached to the ceiling or wall.
You can buy the IKEA JETSTRÖM LED ceiling light panel, smart dimmable/white spectrum, 100x40 cm in the Netherlands for €79.95, in France for €69.99 and in Sweden for 999 SEK. The 60x60 cm version retails in France for €59.99 and in Sweden for 899 SEK. When the products will roll out to other countries remains unclear.
