Xiaomi Unveils The Redmi G Pro Mini-LED Gaming Monitor: 27″ With DisplayPort 2.1 For $310

News Source:

Xiaomi has pushed out a new entrant in its Redmi G Pro gaming monitor lineup, featuring cutting-edge Mini-LED technology with DisplayPort 2.1.

Xiaomi's Latest Gaming Monitor Comes With a High-End Mini-LED Panel, Suitable For All Applications
Xiaomi hasn't made great strides when it comes to entering the PC industry as a whole, but the company has stayed dedicated throughout the period, and a prime example of it is when they unveiled a "decent" AMD Ryzen "Phoenix" APU laptop which came with astonishing capabilities. Similarly, the company has introduced a new gaming monitor, the Redmi G Pro, which on paper looks like a great option for those opting for Xiaomi's route.

Starting with specifications, the Redmi G Pro boasts a 27-inch Mini-LED panel with a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440. Moreover, it comes with a total of 1152 partitions, along with 4608 lamp beads that ensure the best quality output in all scenarios. It reportedly features four different light control modes, providing users the option of adjusting panel settings without going through every parameter. The Redmi G Pro features a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and supports HDR1000 display output as well, making it a great package for those who want to consume various content through it.

It seems like the focus on optimal panel quality was huge here since the monitor comes with 100% sRGB, 99% DCI-P3, and 97% Adobe RGB color gamut ratings as well, which is quite impressive because Xiaomi hasn't been a "deep-rooted" player in the monitor industry. The Redmi G Pro looks great, at least what it seems like on paper, but it will be interesting to see what it brings to the table since such "Chinese" manufacturers often tend to bring impressive specifications, but the ultimate result says otherwise.

Moving on to the onboard connectivity, the monitor features 2x DisplayPort 2.1 along with 2x HDMI 2.0, which is indeed ample enough. The monitor is retailing for 2,199 yuan, equivalent to USD 310, putting the Redmi G Pro at a decent price point, considering it is a Mini-LED monitor after all.
