TILS 2011: Goldyear Industrial Ltd. to Introduce Liquid Cooling Technology Applied in High Power LED Appliances

Goldyear Industrial Ltd. will introduce its new 50W Liquid Cooling LED Stand Lamp and 16W Heat Column LED Pendant Lamp at 2011 Taiwan International Lighting Show.

Founded in 1988 in Taiwan, Goldyear has been engaged in production and development of lightings and related components for over two decades.

The company is especially noted for its integrated production capability for LED lightings, as it can develop nearly all necessary components and accessories, such as lens and power drivers, independently in its factories, and turn out LED lamps meeting such international standards as UL, CUL, TUV, SAA, and RoHS. The company claims that the achievement can be mainly attributed to its unstinting dedication to R&D of LED lightings.

Consistently delving into LED lightings, the company has worked out its newest product, 33W Liquid Cooling LED Stand Lamp, which features micro channels on the back board of the LED as the flow path for coolants. The design effectively enhances heat dissipation through natural convection and helps to cut the size of the head of the LED lamp. The lamp has been verified with an MTBF of 40,000 hours and bears a maintenance-free warrant for at least three years.

The company also applies liquid cooling technology in production of its 13W Heat Column LED Pendant Lamp, which is fitted with a heat column, an effective, innovative heat-transferring solution developed by the company. The lamp also features a comparatively compact exterior.

Co-developed by both Goldyear Industrial Ltd. and Prolynn Technology Inc., “50W Liquid Cooling LED Stand Lamp” builds micro channels on the rear side of the LED board as the flow path for coolant, the coolant is thus pumped into the micro channels by a pump, the heat generated from the LED can be removed quickly to the lamp stand, and then, dissipated to the air by natural convection.

In combining these competitive edge cooling technology and innovative design, neither heat sink nor fans are used in this product.

The most remarkable achievements of this unique design are:
•    Space and weight optimization around the LED lamp head; a small LED panel (eg. 6 cm x 6 cm for 120W) is sufficient.
•    Lamp head drop test is secured from accident owing to small LED panel size
•    The LED life span is longer and the luminous flux lasts longer owing to the innovative state-of-the-art liquid cooling know-how used for better heat transfer; hence the LED is used in low and constant ambient temperature under use.
•    Goldyear’s “33W Liquid Cooling LED Stand Lamp” is each being tested with 40,000 hours MTBF. This MTBF are guaranteed with leak proof design; anti-corrosion & anti-frozen (-35oC) coolant. This liquid cooling LED stand lamp system requires no maintenance during its first 3 years duty life.
•    This liquid cooling system can also be used for torch lamp, garden light, car park light, streetlight, and any other high power LED appliances.

16W Heat Column LED Pendant Lamp



Goldyear’s another liquid cooling performance is the “16W Heat Column LED Pendant Lamp“, this lamp has a heat column attached to the back board of LED as the cooling solution.

This high-tech heat column has extraordinary high heat conduction capability. The heat generated from the LED is transferred to the heat column instantly, and then, dissipated to the air by natural convection. The LED are always kept under its specific working temperature, thus, extend the LED life span and keep the LED bright ever.

And this heat column is also decorated as the hanging column of the pendant lamp.

With the unique heat column, sawtooth-like heat sink is no more necessary. Without the eyesore heat sink, this is the reason why this “16W Heat Column LED Pendant Lamp“ can keep a compact and minimalism appearance.
