With the rise of streaming services and endorsements from the Hollywood movie industry, an increasing number of movies, TV series, and documentary concert films are being produced using Virtual Production (VP) and Extended Reality (XR) technologies.

The XyperReal Stage's LED display utilizes Shineon Hardtech’s PIXREAL HIRO1.9 Pro, Macroblock’s MBI5264 LED driver IC, Brompton’s Tessera, and Mo-SYS camera tracking technology. Advanced calibration technology significantly enhances the display's color performance. Specifications include a 16-bit grayscale, a 7,680Hz refresh rate, and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, which blur the lines between reality and the virtual world.

Our collaboration with Shineon Hardtech, Macroblock, and Brompton ensures the delivery of high-quality products and advanced technology, resulting in optimal performance for broadcast, immersive experiences, commercial shooting, and filmmaking applications. Carl Loo announced that the XyperReal Stage will host veteran Hollywood VFX expert Hussin Khan (EFXCO), a certified Unreal Engine instructor, who will provide training to professionals in Malaysia to lower the barriers to entry for virtual production.

Macroblock General Manager Jack Lin stated that the XyperReal Stage serves as Malaysia’s virtual production business incubator, and consequently, 3Particle establishes a high standard for LED display quality. To capture flawless images, Macroblock invests significantly in research and development to mitigate common shooting issues, such as band and flicker.
