Taiwanese LED industry underwent significant changes in senior management including in leading LED manufacturer Everlight, Optotech, and Unistar Opto, reported Chinese-language newspaper Commercial Times.

In 2014, Opto Tech Corporation (OPTOTECH) announced the launch of a new P3 LED display that provides a high level of flexibility in terms of applications, and which represents a major step forward compared with traditional display; this new product is the fruit of R&D work by OPTOTECH's team of experienced, creative R&D engineers. OPTOTECH has been awarded a patent for this new display product. 

RGB package technology continues to advance. As LED package components shrink, display dimensions follow suit, gradually reducing in size. This as well as improvements to driver IC and backend system technology is driving up display resolution and color performance. Technological improvements and increased demand for displays used in outdoor commercial, public buildings, and indoor commercial spaces is anticipated to drive up the display replacement trend in 2014. Industry insiders are optimistic about the development of the display market for 2014.
