Veeco Instruments announced  William (Bill) J. Miller, Ph.D. has been promoted to President, effective immediately.  In his new role, Dr. Miller will have direct responsibility over all of Veeco’s business units and central R&D.  He will also oversee global manufacturing operations, a responsibility he assumed in 2015.

Chinese LED manufacturer Changelight Chairman Dianming Deng has retired from his role as the company chairman, and successor has been chosen by the company board, according to a recent company statement.

In this context, the local management of Tridonic connection technology GmbH, formerly a subsidiary of Tridonic with seat in Innsbruck, has taken over all shares of the company under its own responsibility together with AFS All Freight Systems GmbH, Innsbruck, the internationally operating logistics partner of many years, with effect from 30 April 2014. 

Tridonic Connection Technology will be trading under its former brand name Electro-Terminal as an independent company as of October 31, 2014, and no longer be part of the Zumtobel Group, according to a recent notice sent by company management.
