Electrolube will be demonstrating a range of capabilities and special products at this premier annual event for the global LED and solid state lighting industries. Part of HK Wentworth Ltd and an established global manufacturer of electro-chemicals, Electrolube will have a strong presence at this year’s Strategies in Light exhibition (Anaheim, California, February 28 - March 2, 2017), where the company plans to show a range of products designed to protect and enhance the performance of modern LED lighting products.

Electrolube’s Indian subsidiary solves an LED lighting unit potting problem, following consultations with the company’s UK based technical division. The resin encapsulation was causing an unacceptable colour shift in the light from an LED strip luminaire, and the UK technical team had little more than 24 hours to come up with a solution.

Electro-chemicals specialist, Electrolube has launched two new protective and decorative polyurethane resins that will be of particular interest to LED lighting manufacturers.

Electrolube, the global manufacturer at the forefront of electro-chemicals technology, has developed a clear polyester resin for the LED industry that delivers the high performance of a polyurethane resin without the use of hazardous isocyanates. The flexible encapsulation resin, PE7500, completely eliminates any health risk from isocyanate exposure, proven to cause irritation to the eyes, skin and respiratory system.  PE7500 carries no health warnings and provides a vastly safer environment for operators, whilst also reducing ventilation/protection issues and costs for manufacturers.
