Forest lighting, the brand name belonging to Chinese lighting giant MLS, was established in 2014. Thanks to continuous marketing and public relations efforts, the brand has gradually gained popularity among North American retailers and wholesalers, and has expanded its reach to emerging markets like Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Russia. At LIGHTFAIR International (LFI) 2017, Jian Ni, COO of Forest Lighting in North America, shared with LEDinside the development strategies of the brand. 

Chinese LED package manufacturer MLS signed a strategic distribution partnership agreement with Taiwanese LED luminaire manufacturer YACG last Sunday at Denwell restaurant, Taipei, Taiwan.

Forest Lighting, ranked as the top five global LED package manufacturer in the lighting application sector in LEDinside’s analysis, has been expanding its scale through acquisition ever since it became listed company back in February 2015.

Forest Lighting (formerly branded as MLS) announced recently it had acquired 80% shares from Hong Kong lighting vendor Super Trend Lighting Chairman Jiangguo Yen (嚴建國), which is expected to bolster the Chinese player’s  LED filament bulb market share.
