Novaled recently makes a breakthrought on white OLED with light output of 60 lm/W at a brightness of 1,000 cd/m2. According to the company,  these LED have 100,000 hours lifetime at an initial brightness of 1,000 cd/m2 while using commercially available fluorescent blue emitting material. The color rendering index  is also tested high of 87 for these LEDs. Novaled awarded “Recognized for excellence” by the Eurapean Foundation for Quality Management(EFQM). achieved the highest level with the score of 5 star in the assessment by an independent expert team. Novaled, a leading company in OLEDs for display and lighting applications, demonstrated it’s know how and expertise on efficient and long lifetime OLEDs on metal at the Light and Building Frankfurt.

Ingo Maurer, internationally renowned designer and producer of exceptional lamps and lighting systems, will exhibit two OLED lamps which are the result of joint efforts with Novaled on the Light + Building trade show in Frankfurt. Novaled AG, a pioneer in OLED Lighting- and Display-Technology, has developed some transparent, highly efficient OLED modules for this purpose.

Novaled AG, a company dedicated to energy saving and long living OLEDs (Organic Light Emitting Diodes), and Plextronics, Inc., an international company that specializes in conductive organic inks for printed lighting, solar and other electronics, recently announced that they have agreed to jointly develop doped and solution processed organic materials for OLED applications.

Researchers at the Technical University of Dresden and Novaled AG have collaborated to create a 90 lm/W OLED luminaire. The OLED has a brightness of 1,000 cd/m2 according to the researchers. The OLED light engine with a 3-D light extraction technology reportedly achieved an efficacy of 124 lm/W.
