Velodyne Announced Sales Agreement with GeoSLAM and Supports 3D Measurement for NavVis VLX Mapping System

U.S.-based LiDAR technology developer Velodyn Lidar recently announced its partnership with two 3D mapping technology solutions providers. Velodyne and GeoSLAM, a UK-based 3D geospatial technology supplier, signed a multi-year sales agreement to use LiDAR sensors in the mobile scanner for 3D mapping. LiDAR sensors from Velodyne enable GeoSLAM systems to achieve data capture of intricate measurements from up to 100 meters away. Velodyne Lidar announced Kaarta has included Velodyne’s smart, powerful lidar technology in Kaarta’s new Stencil 2-32 ground surface mapping solution.
