Process equipment provider Veeco reported on 3rd August its financial results in 2Q17. The company ended the second quarter with a solid revenue of USD 115.1 million, up 52.9% YoY. Yet, shares of the company slumped by 20% at 1 p.m. the next day after the financial announcement, as The Motley Fool carried in its report.

Ultratech has recently opened the Asia Technology Centre(ATC) in Taiwan. It provides the capacility for leading-edge process development and in-depth demonstrations of Ultratech’s Sapphire 100 lithography system. Ultratech is building its global headquarters in Singapore to serve its Asian customer. It will invest up to US$250 million in its Singapore operations in the next five years. According to Arthur Zafiropaulo, chief executive officer of Ultratech, they plans to start manufacturing in the first quarter of 2011, and in the second half, to ramp up our high-brightness LED and our lithography products.

Ultratech is about to set up a new international headquarters in Singapore on December 6, 2010 to better serve its large customer base in Asia. And it is scheduled to begin shipping lithography systems to customers in Q1 of 2011. The Singapore facility will engineer and manufacture its lithography systems and other related products, including lithography steppers for advanced packaging and HB LEDs and modules for the laser spike anneal systems.

The LEDs (light-emitting diodes) shed light on hard-to-see places to make the task easier. The tweezers come in three styles, all of which are a little more than 6 inches long. The pickup tool is 24 inches long and can grasp items up to 1 inch across.
