Albeo Technologies Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of energy efficient LED lighting systems, today announced that the University of Colorado (CU) has replaced over 200 F32T8 fluorescent lighting bulbs with Albeo's T8LED conversion kit in a pilot project in the renovation of Farrand Hall, which took place this past summer. Replacing the fluorescent bulbs with LED lighting will reduce energy consumption by 36% and eliminate 15 tons of annual CO2 emissions.

The solid state lighting joint venture project between Hebei provincial government and China Electronics Technology Group Corporation’s No. 13 research institute has officially begun its production. This project is located in the Information Technology Center in Shinjiazhuang City, Hebei Province. The investment totaled RMB390 million, and covers an area of 60 acres, and is the largest industrialized solid state lighting project in Northern China.

Recently, Arrow Asia Pac Ltd., a business unit of Arrow Electronics, Inc., announced it will cohost a lighting solution seminar in Taipei, Taiwan, on Nov. 19, with Cree, Inc., a market leader in LED solid-state lighting components.
