[News] South Korean to Spend USD 350M on Next-Gen iLED Display Tech

As per Yonhap, on July 15, South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced a plan to invest 484 billion KRW (approximately USD 350 million) by 2032 to develop iLED (Inorganic Light-Emitting Diode) display technology, which includes Micro LED, QD LED, and nano LED. The South Korean government stated that while the country currently holds a leading position in the OLED market, it still lags behind in the iLED sector, with LED epi-wafers, chips, and materials heavily reliant on imports.
