Arrow Electronics has signed a global distribution agreement with Intematix Corporation to deliver ChromaLit™ remote phosphor components for LED lighting. Compared to conventional LED designs, where blue chips are coated with a phosphor compound, ChromaLit, now available through Arrow Electronics, uses a phosphor composite separated from the blue LED energy source. After Cree released LMR2 LED module, Arrow Electronics announced that it would play a distributor for this new product. According to Gary Zullo, director of Arrow’s lighting segment, “at Arrow, we share Cree’s passion for and commitment to advancing the widespread adoption of LED lighting. The new LMR2 module is a solid addition to our offering of Cree LED modules and components, and will help our customers simplify and accelerate the design and development cycle.”...

It's reported that Arrow Electronics and Cree, will jointly with major manufacturers of complementary components to host a lighting design seminar and solutions fair Dec. 1-2, 2010, at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach, Calif. The free, two-day event is designed for West Coast lighting engineers, specifiers and designers, and professionals.

Cree, Inc. (Nasdaq: CREE), a market leader in LED lighting and silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductor components, announces a distribution agreement with Arrow Electronics, Inc. for Cree SiC power products. The agreement gives Arrow’s customers ready access to Cree’s latest commercially-available SiC Junction Barrier Schottky (JBS) products. Among the Cree products available through Arrow will be the recently released Z-REC™ Series of 600-V Schottky diodes and the groundbreaking 1200-V Schottky diode line.

Arrow Electronics, Inc.
