Boeing will be recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with a 2017 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award for the company's continued leadership in protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency. Final Draft of America "Energy Star" Lamps V1.0 Specification Comes out

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently issued the final draft of "Energy Star" Lamps V1.0 specification, the specification is intended to replace the existing the Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs, V4.3) and Integral LED Lamp (V1.4) specifications. Energy Star Program Enhancements to Be Released Soon

Before November 30, 2009, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will release a more detailed proposal outlining anticipated Energy Star program enhancements for 2010, according to a letter from EPA to Energy Star stakeholders. These program enhancements will include a proposed method of integrating various elements of the Energy Star lighting program.

EPA Takes Over Energy Star in Cooperation with DOE

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) have jointly issued a statement outlining each agency's responsibilities and roles in the Energy Star products program. The EPA and DOE agreed to coordinate efforts to expand and enhance both the National Building Rating Program and the Energy Star program. According to the statement, the Energy Star products program will be improved with expanded coverage, more frequent updates, enhanced efforts on product testing, and a new effort to recognize super efficient products.
