Mitsui Helps FOREPI to Penetrate Japanese Market

Taiwan LED maker Formosa Epitaxy Inc. (FOREPI) has entered into  the Japanese and global markets under the help of Japanese shareholder Mitsui & Co. Ltd., which is taking orders for the Taiwanese manufacturer using its shops in Japan and overseas. Mitsui Supports FOREPI to Tap Mainland China’s LCD TV Market

Recently, Formosa Epitaxy Inc. (FOREPI) will ship LED devices to LCD TVs and lighting supplied by mainland Chinese manufacturers via its Japanese shareholder Mitsui & Co., Ltd in the third quarter, according to FOREPI’s Chairman F.R. Formosa cooperated with Mitsui to develop Chinese and Japanese market

It’s reported that Japan-based Mitsui & Co, which had a huge business network with business involving in the monitor and automobile industries, would purchase 74.693 million to Taiwan LED chipmaker Formosa Epitaxy’s private placement, with having a 15% stake, while Unity Opto Technology would increase its investment and purchase 15.307 million of stake.
