Samsung Filed OLED Patent Invalidation Lawsuit against LG

Samsung has filed a patent invalidation lawsuit against LG in an intellectual property (IP) tribunal in their homeland.The former now asks the tribunal to invalidate several LG OLED patents and consequently drop the patent infringement case. In early September, Samsung claimed LG stole its company secrets by luring former Samsung employees to join LG. LG Electronics Failed First Round in U.S. LED Patent Fight against Osram

LG Electronics has failed in the first round of a trade dispute brought by Siemens unit Osram unit over patents covering LED lighting technology. According to U.S. International Trade Commission Judge David Shaw said in a notice posted on the agency’s website, LG and LG Innotek Co. infringed one Osram patent for LEDs while a second patent wasn’t infringed. LG’s LED Lights Decorates Its Twin Towers

LG Electronics has installed its LED lights and a dedicated lighting control system in its Twin Towers headquarters buildings in Seoul, which is considered as one of the world's largest LED lighting installation.
