Toshiba Lighting & Technology Corporation (Toshiba) announced that it is acquiring GreenStar Products, Inc., a manufacturer of LED luminaires for roadway, area and canopy lighting applications. GreenStar’s LED luminaires are direct replacements for conventional HID lighting, such as high-pressure sodium or metal halide, which requires frequent maintenance and high wattage usage. LED lighting manufacturer GreenStar, has made a contract with Houston-based Toshiba International Corp, a wholly owned subsidiary of Toshiba Corp. They didn’t announce the dollar amount of deal.
