Light IQ Predicts LED Lighting to be Popular in the Near Future

According to Light IQ, LED lighting is one of the things people are looking to add to their homes in 2012. Natalie Timmerman, spokeswoman for the independent lighting consultancy, explained that LED lights were more efficient and longer lasting than halogen and incandescent light sources. The life expectancy of good quality LEDs is quoted as 50,000 hours and beyond, equivalent to 15-20 years in a residential environment.
