Birmingham Airport has installed GE Lighting’s 380 LEDs to celebrate London Olympic Games. The LEDs, as well as 38 LED modules, placed inside two sets of Olympic rings, have been installed on either side of the Air Traffic Control Tower. The LEDs were installed into the rings at ground level and then the entire structure was mounted onto the tower at a height of 135 feet in six days. At the Olympic opening ceremony, Crystal CG has thrilled audiences as it displayed a range of computer-generated images on a giant video screen stretching across the entire expanse of audience seating. The giant video screen was made up of small paddle-shaped LED Pixel Tablets designed by Tait Technologies, each attached to a seat in the stadium and bearing 9 full colour pixels arranged in a square.
