Luxonic, the UK’s foremost innovator of sustainable lighting and control solutions, is looking to transform high specification interiors with its latest range of architectural downlighters, Exurbia. For use in areas of visual importance, Exurbia delivers balanced accent illumination and heightened aesthetics through the range of adaptable, efficient LED luminaires.

Luxonic has expanded its offering with the opening of its first sales office in Scotland. The business’s new Glasgow base will further Luxonic’s already strong operation across the UK, adding to existing offices in Manchester, Belfast and Luxonic’s HQ and manufacturing facilities in Basingstoke.

A new product to hit the industrial scene from Luxonic is the new Hi-Max® LED luminaire. The die-cast high-bay luminaire is designed for all high level open area applications, including warehouses, factories and sports halls.

The development of a high-end building in London has been installed with 900 of Luxonic Lighting’s chilled beam luminaires. One Pancras Square is a part of the King’s Cross development and accommodates offices over eight floors, including the new head office for French Fashion designers Louis Vuitton.

Luxonic’s LuxLink® Wireless control system significantly increases the sustainability of lighting schemes by combining multiple technologies to reduce energy consumption. Various sensors detect occupancy and measure available daylight to ensure energy isn’t used for lighting purposes unnecessarily and comply with the European standby power directives for stand-alone luminaires and those that relay data information as part of a networked system.

Setting the scene is Luxonic’s Skylux® pendant, a new decorative rchitectural fitting suspended from ceilings and presenting an horizontal disc of edge lit acrylic powered by LEDs.  Also designed for office interiors are the new direct/indirect versions of Luxonic’s successful Slimlux® and Skylux® LED luminaires.  Both designed for suspension mounting and using LEDs of 4,000k Ra80 the Skylux’s larger dimensions produces 2900 lumens and Slimlux® is just 66mm wide and it produces 1590 lumens.

A brand new £1.2 million (US $1.97 million) tennis center has been opened in Portsmouth and is the first of its kind to benefit from LED lighting, all of which has been provided by Luxonic. Former British number one, Greg Rusedski and council dignitaries opened the complex, which is situated next to the Mountbatten Sports Centre.

Luxonic has expanded its range of LED lighting specialized for the retail sector with its latest addition, Teardrop LED for Linearlux®. Highly efficient LED’s provide gentle and appropriate light levels that combine with sleek design aesthetics in order to offer an all-encompassing lighting solution for retail environments.

Luxonic Lighting has supplied the complete controls and lighting solution for the Sir Robert Woodard Academy in West Sussex, which is a new architectural landmark in Lancing. The £28 million new build, which replaced the old college, is a state-of-the-art learning facility that has allowed the expansion of the academy from 1,100 to 1,400 students.  Luxonic has supplied products for both the interior and exterior of the buildings, from communal areas to the academy’s specialist performing arts facilities.

Luxonic Lighting, one of the UK leaders in LED luminaire systems, has introduced Slimlux LED, a range of recessed and suspended luminaires to provide continuous lines of light. Slimlux LED incorporates high-output white versions to accompany the established RGB colour change modules.
