Taiwan LED packaging manufacturer VisEra Technologies is reported to put its manufacturing emphasis on high-power packages dedicated to light bulbs in 2011. Samsung Electronics, currently the world’s top TV supplier, is estimated to buy US$7.5 billion worth of components from Taiwan this year for its LED backlit LCD TVs, according to the company, reported The Taiwan Economic News.
