OSRAM, together with its partners in the LED-Light-for-you (LLFY) network, is promoting LED technology for general lighting applications. The offered range of products, innovative technologies and services is showing the industry the way forward. The network is therefore ideally equipped to meet the demands of this fast-growing market segment.

In 2006, the internet platform www.ledlightforyou.com was set up on the initiative of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. It acts as a network for skilled partner companies throughout the world. When customers need a specific lighting solution they access this network. There they will find expert support in the areas that are essential to LED lighting solutions, namely optics, thermal management and electronics. LLFY also provides an opportunity to establish contact with experienced partners who can support projects by providing first-class help and advice.

LED lighting solutions of the highest quality

At the start of this year OSRAM Opto Semiconductors launched the Diamond DRAGON, an innovative high-power LED for general lighting. The product launch took place with the involvement of the LLFY partners. They took the opportunity to showcase products tailored specifically to the Diamond DRAGON at the same time – products such as matching electronic drivers and lenses.

“Cooperation between all the network partners on the basis of a common platform is a prime example of how to integrate the various competence areas. An LED alone does not provide light. With the appropriate system components combined to create an overall solution, the LEDs can be very quickly launched on the market for specific applications”, said Steffen Block, Project Manager for LLFY at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors.
