ilumisys Announces An Additional Patent For LED Technology

Ilumisys, Inc., a provider of solid state lighting technology and products, has recently claimed Patent No. 7,510,299, which has been issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the replacement of fluorescent tubes with LEDs.

"Our pending and issued patents, plus our commitment to developing high-quality products while defending our patents from infringement, positions ilumisys to be a long-term market leader," said ilumisys President Dave Simon. "As the LED industry continues to evolve, ilumisys will keep growing our intellectual property through extensive research and development."

As a subsidiary company of Altair Engineering, the Michigan-based ilumisys has been dedicated to research and development of next-generation SSL technology and has boasted more than 30 patent applications. Its parent company Altair has recently filed an additional litigation against manufacturers and distributors infringing the new patent.
