Fusion Optix Expands Activities in Asia

Fusion Optix, a leading developer of solutions for advanced lighting markets, announced  that it has formed a partnership with WNI, a private company in South Korea, to distribute its products to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and other customers in South Korea. The agreement covers WNI distributing all Fusion Optix optical components and materials which are designed for use in applications such as general illumination, LED and solid state lighting, LCD backlighting, solar energy and daylighting.

The move marks a significant initiative by Fusion Optix to step up its activities in the Asia-Pacific region and expand its global reach and distribution of its key products.

Dr Terence Yeo, CEO of Fusion Optix, comments, “It is an exciting time for Fusion Optix and for the advanced lighting and energy efficiency markets in general. We have experienced very strong growth in our business throughout 2010, both in North America and the Asia-Pacific region. A significant percentage of our current revenues are from shipments into the Asia-Pacific region and we expect this to increase considerably in the coming year. We considered several options to better support the market in South Korea and WNI come highly recommended by several of our OEM customers, and we look forward to a successful collaboration with them.”
