GIO expected to gain revenues exceeding NT$4.5 billion in 2010

Taiwan-based CCFLs and LED light bars maker GIO Optoelectronics,is a member of the Chi Mei Group.

The company noted, GIO mainly supplied LED light bars for Chimei making LED backlight units used in LCD TV panels. Due to increased orders from Chimei, GIO had reached full utilization of its CCFL and LED light bar production capacities.

Meanwhile, GIO has walked into 3D LED converter drivers and began producing a lot recently. It is expected that in 2010 the company shipped 30,000 3D LED converter drivers and over one million units in 2011.

Also, the industry sources estimated the company would generate revenues of more than NT$4.5 billion (US$147 million) in 2010, 2.37 times the figure posted in 2009, and those of NT$9 billion in 2011.
