CMI has a 30.67% share in GIO by adding investment

It was reported that Chimei Innolux (CMI) has pumped extra investment into GIO Optoelectronics to acquire a 30.67% stake in GIO. With  the additional investment, CMI has got 25.19 million shares to a total amount of NT$428 million (US$14.08 million).

GIO expected to gain revenues exceeding NT$4.5 billion in 2010

Taiwan-based CCFLs and LED light bars maker GIO Optoelectronics,is a member of the Chi Mei Group. The company noted, GIO mainly supplied LED light bars for Chimei making LED backlight units used in LCD TV panels. Due to increased orders from Chimei, GIO had reached full utilization of its CCFL and LED light bar production capacities.
