Cyberlux Debuts Energy Star Rated LED Recessed Downlight to Marketplace

Cyberlux Corporation, a provider of LED lighting solutions, announced that the Company is expanding its product portfolio with the market launch of a six inch LED recessed ceiling "can light." Designed for both the new construction and the retrofit markets, the LED recessed lights include a retrofit kit for the replacement of any incandescent or fluorescent six inch recessed light socket currently installed. The high-powered, energy efficient LED recessed light is a 13 Watt, 620 lumen fixture, including embedded proprietary dimming technology that works with standard resistance dimmers. The non-dimmable products are well-suited for commercial or government common areas that do not require dimmable capabilities.

"We could not be more excited to enter the recessed lighting space. The U.S. Department of Energy estimates that there are at least 500 million recessed downlights currently installed in U.S. homes, with an additional 20 million sold each year. There is a significant demand in the lighting marketplace for energy efficient, high-powered, LED recessed technology with the capability to retrofit into existing infrastructure. These retrofit LED solutions present a technology that not only provides better lighting, but also offers energy efficiency levels that simply cannot be captured with any of today's non-LED offerings," says Mark Schmidt, CEO of Cyberlux Corporation. "We have been providing our tactical illumination lighting for years to clients who now are also in need of this type of innovative solution for their respective government buildings, therefore this addition to our business line is not only logical from a retail and commercial prospective, but within the aspect of the government sector as well. We hope to quickly create a niche within this young space as the relatively low cost, yet highly capable supplier of incandescent and fluorescent replacement solutions. Any interested party should contact our offices for further information," added Schmidt.
