Seoul Semiconductor Defends Philips Patent Infringement

Recently, Seoul Semiconductor has initiated two actions asserting claims of patent infringement against Philips which was filed in Germany in March and in Korea in May, individually.

The Korean company respects the intellectual property rights of others and believes that its products do not infringe Philips' patents.

As a result, Seoul Semiconductor intends to vigorously defend the U.S. patent infringement action brought by Philips that is limited to a handful of Seoul Semiconductor products.

Seoul Semiconductor holds thousands of patents worldwide directed to core LED chip, LED package, and future LED lighting technology. Especially, it’s famous for its innovative and acclaimed AcricheTM technologies.
