LEDforum Taipei 2011:
Take Full Advantage of LED End Market Prospects

Backlight module and lighting are two main applications of LED. However, in light of the weak demand in large-size backlight market in 1H11, the revenues of LED manufacturers plummet 20% compared to last year. LEDinside expects LED makers to shift their focuses to the lighting market; “a replacement for traditional lighting” becomes another development path for the LED industry.

The value of the global lighting market is estimated at USD 8.5 billion. Aside from backlight application, LED possesses many other strengths. The prospects of LED industry lie in LED’s ability to replace traditional lighting and be developed into superior lighting products, which are the key to a higher penetration rate of LED in the lighting market. While pursuing product and technology enhancement, LED makers have to get a firm grasp of global governments’ standpoints on LED lighting in order to succeed in the traditional lighting market.

Day 2 (11/2) Speakers

The sessions of the second day of LEDforum Taipei 2011, a two-day seminar organized by LEDinside, comprises insightful speeches given by world-renowned manufacturers Everlight, OSRAM and Philips Lumileds, covering end-market lighting applications; Henkel China will illuminate the path to higher product quality and yield rate for package material makers and illustrate how to become the supportive backbone of the LED lighting industry. On the other hand, Delta Electronics will share its successful experiences and strategies in the global market and provide Taiwanese LED makers with competitive edges to outshine in the fierce international competition. Miniwiz will demonstrate examples of LED applications in countries around the world from the perspective of green building.

In regard to the trend in the LED industry, the progress of LED replacing traditional lighting is hard to be viewed from a global perspective; currently, North America, Europe and China are the forerunners with respect to the progress. Therefore, analysts of LEDinside will present in-depth dissection of the dynamic between Chinese, European and other international markets.

LEDforum 2011 Taipei will help attendees get a firm grasp of the trend and opportunities of the market and gain a comprehensive perspective of the LED industry. Limited early bird tickets are available now. Register today!
