Taiwan’s China Electric to Export LED Lighting to Southeast Asia

Taiwanese lighting equipment maker, China Electric Manufacturing Corporation, has intended to export LED lighting to Southeast Asia starting this fourth quarter.

The company says it has been mainly promoting exports of LED bulbs, LED tubes, and T5 lights to Southeast Asia.

There is ample business potential in Southeast Asia seeing the LED lighting penetration there is only 5% to 8%, with that in Taiwan to reach estimated 30% to 40% in 2012, and even higher rates in Japan, the United States, and Europe.
