Bridgelux ‘s awarding-winning RS LED arrays have been selected by HELLA Lighting for the company's first down light designed specifically for the commercial and retail lighting markets.
With Bridgelux LED array technology, the HELLA down light features an innovative, very low profile luminaire. According to HELLA, the luminaire will deliver an effective lumen output of 2600 lumens in 4000K neutral white. The new down light is designed to replace the traditional CFL and Metal-Halide lighting systems while consuming only 43 Watts of power.
Most down lights, using either conventional lamp technology or most LED light sources, require an elongated reflector to reduce glare. HELLA's down light uses an innovative optic eliminating glare in a shallow form factor. This optic is enabled by the flat Bridgelux array architecture combining a directed beam with a high flux density source. This low profile design gives lighting designers and contractors greater flexibility to install down lights where ceiling heights are limited.
The new HELLA down light is now commercially available. And it will also be available in 3000K warm white in March.
