The University of Michigan-Flint has completed the installation of new LED lights. According to the company, 22 new lights have been installed at Parking Lot A (which is near the Recreation Center) and other adjacent areas.
Thanks to the new lights, the university saves tens of thousands of dollars on their annual energy bill. Also, the efficient new lights are expected to cut down on maintenance costs. Additionally, the lights can cut back on light pollution because the light is directed downward.
According to the university, the areas in front of the library and outside of the theater are next in line for the new lights.
