Dialight and Dron & Dickson Become Strategic Partners to Expand LED Lighting Sales

Dialight has signed Dron & Dickson, who are recognised as leaders in the design, supply and maintenance of hazardous area electrical equipment, as authorised distributors effective immediately, to expand important LED lighting sales opportunities in oil and gas.

With over 80 years experience in the supply of hazardous area products, Dron & Dickson now employs more than 200 people offshore and onshore and has a network of wholesales bases in Aberdeen, Hull, Lowestoft and Stirling. It has recently expanded its operation in the Middle East with the opening of an office in Dubai.  Last year the company secured record levels of North Sea business from both existing and new customers and now works with clients in UK, Europe, N Africa, Middle East, CIS and Asia.

Colin Rowley, Group Managing Director of Dron & Dickson said: "This agreement allows us to strengthen the range of innovative, high performance electrical equipment we offer to oil and gas customers and fits with our strategy of offering the latest products from leading manufacturers. Dialight's LED technology will be welcomed by customers looking to maximize safety and environmental sustainability in the harshest environments while improving their bottom lines."

"We fully support Dron & Dickson's objective of exceeding its clients' expectations and will do this by providing LED lighting that virtually eliminates maintenance, dramatically reduces energy consumption and ultimately improves total cost of ownership," said Roy Burton, Dialight's Group Chief Executive. "We're delighted at this strategic partnership which will enable both our organisations to increase our penetration into key oil and gas markets around the world."
