The Maplewood-based manufacturer 3M Co. has intended to launch an LED light bulb that shines like an incandescent but uses 75-percent less energy and lasts for 25 years. It’s expected to sell the bulbs at Walmart stores by September.
According to the Pioneer Press reports, the new bulb will be manufactured in New Ulm, Minn., and is made possible by 3M's optical film, adhesive and heat management technology. It will be sold at $25.
