Cree, Inc.(NASDAQ:CREE) LED lighting has got an endorsement from none other than Richard Petty, “The King” of Nascar.
More than LED luminaires have gone into illuminating Petty’s 100,000 square foot Garage complex, which specialises in the restoration of high-performance vehicles, stock cars, drag racers and Petty’s signature cars.
Cree has partnered with Greenleaf energy solutions to install Petty’s garage with industry-lighting LED lighting.
“We know that Cree produces the best LED technology in the world,” said Stephen Moffitt, energy consultant, Greenleaf Energy Solutions. “Cree was the clear choice for Petty’s Garage.”
Greenleaf said that compared to fluorescents, the installation of Cree’s lighting reduce energy usage by more than 50 percent and reduced the number of light fixtures needed by up to 10 percent.
Petty said, ““Cree LED lighting delivers the quality of light we need for the work in our garage, allowing us to focus on our business of redoing cars. We turned these lights on, and they made our cars and shop look brand new. There’s really only one word to describe Cree’s lights – wow.”
Cree said that the long-lasting LED lighting solutions from the company dramatically enhanced the auto restoration experience at Petty’s Garage.
Cree will be showcasing its LED lighting products at the National Auto Dealers Association Convention and Expo 2013 in Orlando, February 8 to 11. “The King” will be signing autographs and taking photos with attendees at the Cree booth #3276 on Sunday, Feb. 10.
