Lighting Industry Association Welcome New CEO

The Lighting Industry Association (LIA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Steven Davies as the new Chief Executive Officer.

Steven will take up his appointment on 3 June 2013, and will continue to build upon the successful merger of the LA and LIF.


Steven joins the LIA from the National Skills Academy for Power leading a public and private sector backed initiative to attract and retain the skills needed to secure the UK’s power requirements into the future, where he was Chief Executive Officer.

His career has included; Vice President at Bombardier Transportation, Chief Executive of EEF Sheffield, EEF’s Director of Ventures, and Managing Director of SailTime North Wales.

Steven is married with two children, is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and has an MBA from Sheffield Hallam University.

Peter Hunt, current Joint CEO, will support Steven and concentrate on specific areas of the Association’s business while Eddie Taylor announces his retirement from the end of May.
