Philips Lighting Donates LED Bulbs to Hope Primary Schools

Recently, Philips Lighting donated 240 units of LED bulbs to the hope primary school in Zunyi, Guizhou, and the bulbs have been distributed to the students. As a part of Philips' public service activity "light the light of hope", the donation of newly listed versatile LED bulbs aims to improve the basis lighting conditions for families with children, save household electricity costs, and create a bright and healthy learning environment.

Philips' donation activity of "light the light of hope" officially launched on May 18, 2013, according to statistics, 1,366 consumers have enthusiastically participated the one-month purchase that Philips launched on Tmall website for consumers, Philips will donate 1,366 versatile LED bulbs to the students from Hope Primary School in the name of consumers. Next, Philips will also donate LED bulbs to Philips Hope Primary Schools in other regions, so that it can bring light and hope for more children.

In order to benefit more poor families with children from the love donation of "light the light of hope", from September 5 to 7, Philips employees will go to Philips Hope Primary School in Jinping, Yunnan with volunteers to communicate with children face to face and personally sent them LED bulbs. In fact, as early as 2002, Philips invested 200,000 Yuan for the construction of school buildings, playgrounds and toilets; 2011, Philips donated lamps at the value of 123,000 Yuan for kids to create a bright and comfortable learning environment. The LED bulbs dominated are to improve home basic lighting and enhance the quality of family life for students; also it is the powerful evidence for that Philips has been relentless pursuit of "health, comfort and quality life".
