Marcoblock's S-PWM LED Driver IC Collocates NOVASTAR to Evolve Super Fine Pitch LED Display Market

Recently, a super fine pitch LED display has become a mainstream product in this fierce competition market. Super fine pitch displays become popular in indoor applications, such as shopping centers. In order to meet the unmet needs of display market, Marcoblock launches the innovative S-PWM LED driver IC, MBI5152, especially designed for a super fine pitch display. Furthermore, MBI5152 collocates NOVASTAR to provide a solution for the fine pitch display and expects to trigger the evolution of super fine pitch LED display market.

Kerry Huang, Product Director of Marcoblock says: There are two key features of MBI5152. First, it is to provide excellent output current that is as low as 0.5mA and its accuracy is less than ±3% among chips. In the past, since the luminous efficacy of LED was lower; therefore, it was necessary to increase LED current to make a LED display brighter. However, nowadays because the demand of indoor usage is booming, the efficiency of LED has been improved, and the trend of pitch requirement is getting finer and finer. Therefore, the key point should be low current accuracy of driver ICs. Second, MBI5152 can optimize color uniformity of super fine pitch display. As using MBI5152 and NOVASTAR solution for a fine pitch display, annoying problems, such as: dim line, lower ghost effecting, non-uniformity at low gray scale and color shift at white balance can be solved.

The International Marketing Director of NOVASTAR, Aaron He says excitingly, this time NOVASTAR cooperates with Marcoblock for this innovative project, because we believe that through NOVASTAR solution for fine pitch display and friendly user interface, it would help launch MBI5152 and related control and correction technique successfully. We are sure we can meet the expectation of the super fine pitch market and achieve win-win.

Marcoblock and NOVASTAR collaborate to upgrade the best performance of a super fine pitch display and make it beyond customers' expectation.
