Toshiba Introduces New high Lumen Output BR40 LED Lamps with Long Rated Life

In line with recent reports, Toshiba International Corporation’s LED Lighting Division recently released their new high lumen output BR40 LED lamps, which serve as a direct replacement for 65-watt incandescent bulbs (using new ENERGY STAR criteria). With a rated life of 40,000 hours, the BR40 is ideal for recessed downlights and open hanging fixtures.

The BR40 is available in 2700K (950 lumens) and 4000K (1050 lumens) color temperatures. It features improved dimming, undergoing ENERGY STAR and Lutron dimmer testing and offers a high power factor of 0.96. It is rated for damp locations and comes with a five-year limited warranty. In comparison with the 65-watt incandescent bulbs it is intended to replace, the BR40 uses up to 79% less electric energy.
