AFX Wins 2014 Lighting for Tomorrow Award

AFX, an industry leader in energy-efficient decorative lighting solutions has won the 2014 Lighting for Tomorrow award in the Decorative Lighting category with their Cortez LED Pendant. Equipped with a 30W 3000K LED module, the stylish Cortez LED luminaire produces more than 2,220 lumens and is rated at 50,000 hours.

According to the Lighting for Tomorrow Judge's, AFX's Cortez is "attractive and well diffused with outstanding dimming and light output; and provides elegant light quality and glare control for wide-ranging customer use".

Combining a transparent white organza shade with a linen inner shade creates a soft "floating" look for the elegant, dual-shaded fixture. It's smooth white diffuser optimizes performance with even light distribution. The Cortez is fully adjustable to 6 feet, and available in 24" and 30" diameters. For design versatility, the pendant is also available with a bronze organza outer shade and matching canopy kit.

The extended Cortez product family includes: Sconces, Small Pendants, Flush Mounts and Vanities available with Fluorescent or LED light sources.

The award was presented to AFX at the American Lighting Association Annual Conference in Nashville, Tennessee on September 16th.
