To make bikers more visible on streets during night time, two Canadian designers have come up with a creative LED rear bike light design that literally requires bikers with “some balls” to mount on a bike seat.

The bike lights named “Bike Balls” are shaped similar to a man’s scrotum, and emit a red glow while swinging side to side while cycling.

According to the Canadian designer duo Scott B and Heather L, these bouncy rear lights are able to emit a large visible area of 1,872 mm² compared to conventional bike lights 18 mm² because the entire silicone shell functions as a luminaire.

Bike Balls are turned on by gently squeezing the balls. The same gesture can also turn the red LED onto two different lighting modes of flashing or standard solid light.

Bikers that use these LED lights will probably turn some heads, while cycling through streets.

Early backers of Bike Balls Kickstarter project are expected to receive this interesting light by August 2015. With 32 days left to fund its Kickstarter project, Bike Balls has attracted 180 backers, and raised CA$ 7,044 (US $5819.08) out of its goal of CA$ 11,784. 

Bike Balls can be turned on by squeezing the balls.
