Jufei Opto and GE Lighting Sign Red Phosphor Licensing Agreement

Jufei Opto announced recently in a statement that it signed a red phosphor license agreement with leading U.S. manufacturer GE Lighting.

GE Lighting licensed its potassium fluorosilicate (PFS) phosphors global patent application rights to Chinese LED manufacturer Jufei Opto recently.

GE Lighting’s PFS is a key red phosphor in the industry capable of improving LEDs wide color gamut performance.

Jufei Opto stated the company has developed core technologies in developing ultra-thin LEDs, LEDs with low lumen depreciation, high CRI and high-reliability performances. The company has more than 100 patents in its portfolio, and deployed its core patent applications to meet expanding international markets accelerated demand growth. By acquiring GE Lighting’s red phosphor patents, the company will be able to expand its high-end product portfolio that will lay the groundworks for its global services.
