Stanley Electric’s Quality Landscape Lighting Features High Luminous Efficacy and Special Beam Angles

Founded in 1920, the Japanese luminaire provider Stanley Electric Co., Ltd. offers automotive lamp modules, LED packages, and other LED products. Aware of potential of special lighting and street lighting, with its automotive lighting products of quality specifications and high reliability, Stanley attempts to enter these two markets through lighting government bids. LEDinside was honored to have an interview with Masahiro Sagae, Executive General Manager of Lighting Application Division, on opportunities and challenges in the Special lighting market.

Stanley mainly targets Japan’s street lighting and landscape lighting markets, and its next move is to explore Southeast Asian lighting market, according to Sagae. With its reputation from its excellent quality auto lighting modules and its strength in optical designing, the Japanese lighting behemoth offers 2.5 gain projectors that were successfully introduced to several landscape lighting projects in Japan. It is also worth noting the American arm of Stanley provided LED light sources for Niagara Falls’ dazzling lighting makeover.

In Tokyo, Stanley’s headquarter is lit up with unique interior lighting designed by noted Japanese lighting designer Motoko Ishii and the office is built with green building features. The company uses its own products dimmable based on change of the light environment and integrated with a power calculator reporting daily power consumption, plus the good air circulation of the building, rendering its head office a successful smart building. The indirect lighting and wall washers inside the building provides a soft and even light environment.
